What Is Paint-It-Forward?
Rick MacKeigan of Cape Breton Painters has started the Paint-It-Forward event as a way to give back his local community and a way to say thanks for their continued support. At Cape Breton Painters we understand the importance of giving back to the communities we serve and the value and impact of charitable work on those communities.
We ask our local community to submit stories of a nonprofit or people they know who are in need of painting but can’t afford it. The chosen recipient receives up to $5,000 worth of FREE painting services by Cape Breton Painters.
All of our employees (and even some family members & friends) volunteer their time to the recipient. A freshly painted building or home can brighten their outlook and bring a little painting happiness into their lives.
Cape Breton Painters is committed to improving the lives of those who are facing life-altering circumstances as well as nonprofit organizations and individuals who dedicate their lives to serving our community and others.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
The list below should offer you a sense of who we hope to reach with our Paint It Forward Program.
- Individuals and families facing difficult times with health issues, who are under the burden of medical expenses, or victims of the 2016 Thanksgiving Flood.
- Those who may be so active serving in the community that they do not have the time or budget to improve their own property.
- Nonprofit organizations with limited funding.
If you know of an individual, family, or nonprofit organization in need of a fresh coat of paint that can’t afford it, please submit their stories via the Paint It Forward Nominee Form link below.
HOW DOES THE SELECTION PROCESS WORK?
We need as many nominations as possible! Submit your storey below, and then help us spread the word however you can. All nominations are first reviewed by our management team. When we narrow the submissions down to three finalists we present the nominees to our entire team for a final discussion and decision. Our hopes is to make this an annual event.
